What happens to the marriage status of a character married to a member of a house that no longer exists. I ask because I notice House Akatosh has gone down the drain and my Barons eldest son is married to Maria Akatosh. Has the marriage been annulled? Is the husband a widower or divorced and free to marry someone else? What I would prefer is if the wife move to my estate where at least the chance of having children would be a possibility.

If a spouse dies, the widow can remarry.
The husband and wife don't have to be in the same estate to reproduce. Its assumed characters move around a bit during each chronum for that kind of thing

Okay,so that rule applies to wives/husbands who's house has ceased to exist?

Only if they have died. Not if they have joined another house.

Sorry Sid being a bit dense here! So my family member is still married to Maria Akatosh even though House Akatosh is no more?

Is Maria Akatosh still alive? If so yes. If not, no

Looks like she died on 5th ∅ 58th ∀.
But in my characters description he is still shown as married.

A link to the character would be great.

Yeah he is widowed - see the listing for your house under the status column: thronestars.com/House/DubeckHe is still listed as "married" on his sheet to his deceased wife until and if he remarries.
